Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer vs. Hoola Benefit

 Too Faced on Top swatch;
Hoola On Bottom swatch

Different Angle... As you can see they are very similar in colour- both matter both a very brown shade not too orangy but on my skin Hoola is more stark and the Too Faced blends in easier and gives a better bronzed finish. I have light-medium skin tone with freckles, some redness. I have naturally red hair with a lot of blonde hightlights (so I look more blonde) and I have very light brown eyes.

The winner for me is Too Faced, but it all depends on what your skin is like/ your physical features.
I hope this helps!

What do you like better?

What's in my Bag?

I don't really like carrying a huge bag with me. I do have a backpack for work that I carry with me from Monday- Friday as I commute an hour to and from work; and with me I usually bring my Laptop and a lot of other essentials (i.e deodorant, body spray etc...)- my day typically consits of a minimum of 12 hours. EEK! So lugging around a huge bag with me just weighs me down! So I usually just carry around this clutch. It has the essentials.. cards, money, gum, and a few lip products/ a compact mirror. I can also fit my black berry in here plus my bronzer if I really need it. I am also always in a rush to get places so when I go out in the evenings I never have time to convert my things into a smaller clutch so I just carry this one with me everywhere! Its small enough to not get in the way yet big enough for me to take every where.

Hope you enjoyed! And Happy Friday the 13th!!

Obsession

Haven't heard this song yet?...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5D-bWGK0l0&NR=1&feature=endscreen

Why? lol this makes me want to dance like a fool in the rain!!!

Product Rave Time!

This Stuff is simply AMAZING!

If you are a slightly oilier girl/have that stubborn shine throughout the day like me then you need to continue reading!

Garnier Pure Moisturiser is the best matifying moisturizer I have ever come across!

What it claims:
Long lasting shine control
"Garnier Pure Shine Control Moisturizer is specially formulated for combination to oily skin and acne-prone skin that can be shiny. Its formula with white clay and zinc mattifies skin, absorbing and controlling excess sebum. Your skin is hydrated all day long with no greasy feel and is left feeling pure, with a long-lasting mattified look."

The back of the bottle is 100% true if you asked me.. it is also very cool in its formula and when applied in the morning makes my skin feel so refreshed and awake. This has helped me so much that I actually don't even use my Garnier BB Cream any more, I don't feel a need as my skin feels so fresh and good looking!

I don't remember the price on this but I think it was $15 at my Shopper's Drug Mart - you get 75 ml with this stuff and I just can't get enough.. I honestly have never found a moisturizer that can do this- and I have tried a lot!

Have you ever tried this? If not give it a go! Hope everyone's week is off to a good start!

March Favourites

From LtoR: Sephora bronzer brush #44 (such an amazing brush its huge and covers most of my face which makes for super fast easy blending!); Sephora professionnel airbrush precision foundation brush #56 (I use this for my concealer, I mainly place it underneath my eyes, and this brush allows me to blend away very easily; what can I say! I am extremely lazy in the morning and brushes just make my life easier!); Sonia Kashuk brush that looks like a MAC 181 (this brush picks up the perfect amount of highly pigmented blushes -like the one in the picture above- without looking to stark on my cheek it is my favourite blush brush. ever.); Lise Watier eyeshadow brush (this brush is pretty fat and wide which allows me to apply highlight to my inner corners and brow bones in one swipe! Super fast and easy - love it!); Clinique pore refining solutions instant perfector in invisible light (this stuff matifies my face while giving my skin a perfect finish; I cannot go a day without it and it is perfect for sensitive skin!); Garnier Pure Hydrating Care moisturiser (this stuff claims to have long lasting shine control- and boy does it ever!); Garnier BB Cream (it was in my last favs post for Feb- love this stuff! Gives a natural finish and glow!); Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer (this smells like hot chocolate and gives my face such a natural tan look; I purchased this slightly after my 'currently lusting after' post and I do not doubt it at all! In LOVE!); Elf Warm Bronzer (this stuff works well just lightly on the apples on my checks for some added bronz-ness I only use the bottom right corner and the top left corner- the other two corners are too shimmery/highlight like which I do not use for my face!); Tarte blush in Tipsy (perfect coral colour ever! Can't say it lasts 12 hours though..); MAC Eyeshadow in Nylon (frost finish which has a golden undertone to it- I work better with warm tones than cool tones); Shu Umera lash curlers- the best ever.

Here's this Months Favourites... I know I am really late on this one;
BUT better late then never right! lol!
I must say though that some of this has all ready changed as I am in a more natural looking face/ very springy mood... so stay tuned for my Spring Time looks which will hopefully incorporate a FOTD in the near future

P.S. You may have noticed there was no mascara this month- and that is because I have had the worst luck looking for a mascara that will work for my stubborn camel lashes. My lashes are very long but are stubborn and stick down straight with zero curl to them! I have found a new mascara that was an old favourite of mine (not sure if I have mentioned it before) but it will be in an upcoming post!

Currently Lusting Over...

Currently really into peachy, fresh fragrances this Ralph Laureen perfume has been a favourite of mine in the past but I am dying to purchase another one!

Really loving my BB creams- especially the Garnier one but I have heard so many good things about this tinted moisturiser that I am kind of craving for a sample of this to cover my face! Maybe the next time I go into Sephora I may just have to ask for a sample!

These kitten heels from Zara are incredibly hard to find- if I could find them this would be an OOTD post or a haul vs a currently lusting post! They do have a pair in a nice cream shade with a good heal- but I really want the black shade! I have tried on the cream shade and not only are these shoes beautiful but they are so comfortable!

And lastly this Chocolate Soleil Bronzer by Too Faced- heard so many good things about this bronzer as well. Currently using Hoola but it's never really been a true favourite of mine. And my Chanel is running out and I am finding that as it gets hotter out it is sliding off my face. So what is a girl to do!? Well look up on Sephora's customer's reviews and youtube what a good bronzer is- turns out this is the one of choice at the moment. Three top things I need in a bronzer: it needs to be matte (I have large poores and don't want any product to help accentuate them), a bronzer that is not orangy or to dark and stark in shade, and a bronzer that will last all day! Turns out this checks off everything from the list! So maybe it will pop up in my handbag soon!

It's Wednesday and the week is almost over thank gosh! Hope everyone is having a great week!

Essence in Canada?

Yup that's right!

And Sold at your Local Shopper's Drug Mart - well in Ontario it is at least!
The lovely European brand has made it's way over to Canada- and let me tell you- I was super excited (and maybe even slightly googly eyed) over this brand!

The nail polish here is priced at $1.49 a slight difference where I know in the UK you can get this brand for 99pents. I have used this nail polish twice since purchasing and it is pretty darn fantastic- in my eyes it's a runner up for Essie- super fast dry with great pigmentation. I am currently wearing the sparkly shade (in space queen) of the two shown in the picture but I am absolutely loving it - the second colour(modern romance) is a very pale pink but will make your hands look so tan!

The eye shadows almost remind me of the same kinds of textures that are made up of wet and wild.
They have both mattes and satin finishes and are super, super pigmented for only $5 I'd say that's a good deal!
These two palettes are perfectly nude for me and I am loving the more taupe palette at the moment.
 Two palettes I bought were:
Over the Taupe & Would you mind? - the slightly more brown shaded palette

The mascara's were your typical mascara's- to me they were the same kind you would find in any brand - the only exception is that you have a choice of paying $3-$5 as opposed to $10-$14 for other mascara brands.
I do however really enjoy applying the (orange shaded tube) maximum definition volume mascara -it has a rubbery tapered head with very stiff fibbers- they do get every lash!
The other mascara - in the blue tube- just has a rather large head to it and is somewhat good for giving you more volume

Also grabbed the angled blush brush- I take my makeup with me every day, as I take an hour commute to get into work and most days for me are at least a minimum of 12 hours so touch ups are always more likely needed then not. I hate carrying around my makeup brushes so will suffice for shorter ones that one necessarily get the job done right but will at least aid in putting on some colour to my cheeks- thankfully I found this brush! It's perfect fits into my makeup bag wonderfully and does the same job a good normal sized angled blush brush would do for you! Plus the pink hairs make me giggly when I apply my blush! It was only $5 - great bargain in my mind!

If you get the chance I do suggest going into a Shoppers even if just to have a quick peek - bet you wont leave without one product!

My new - Holy Cow! I cannot live without this! Concealer...

As I write this - I think about how contradicting I must sound! Literally just a few posts ago I was mentioning this as my favourite concealer! But I was running out (as you can see in the picture; it's actually worse in real life I have to scrape around the edges to get any product) and I wasn't sure if I wanted to run over to a MAC Counter to fork out another $20.... SO... I kept hearing rave review on the Internet about the instant age rewind concealer, and boy where those reviews right!

This product is slightly more watery than the MAC Studio Fix concealer but it works the same! So creamy great coverage! And the lasting power is amazing!

I usually have a breakout around my chin, you know- those nasty spots that are never popable (ew gross!) and hurt like hell, and are always so darn red! Yah- they grace my chin every now and then; and so I do need a coverage that will help me cover this redness.

My MAC was always so trusty- but lately it was causing my skin to dry out which was really unusual. Now I am not sure if it was because of the weather change- as it is really hot in Ontario at the moment- or the fact that this product was coming to the end stages of it's life but I knew I needed a change for my skin. And out came the Maybeline concealer- seriously do love the stuff; my shade is in Medium and if you were sceptic of using this product I would recommend going for it.

The only downside of this product is the fact that you have to keep the lid- or else the sponge tip applicator can get extremely unsanitary.
Other than that I state perfection!
